I believe that Mount Zion Elementary is on the brink of becoming the best elementary school in Clayton County and perhaps the state of Georgia. My blueprint for a successful future is based on a number of essentials that are commonly associated with high achieving schools. Those essentials include a loyal and supportive community, a dedicated and enthusiastic staff, and a spirited student body that exhibits a burning desire to succeed.
Ultimately, the Mount Zion Staff accepts the responsibility for creating an environment that welcomes community involvement. We need parents, community and business representatives to assist with monitoring student attendance, academic efforts and achievement, and become active participants in the overall educational process of our students. Naturally, our students will benefit from this type of community support and positive encouragement. Community support is an absolute must to ensure the success we are striving to achieve.
We are preparing our young Lions to contend with the rigorous, high standards set across the nation, which will help them to become successful, productive citizens in this global, technological society. Our teachers have accepted the challenge to raise their expectations of our students, as well as their accomplishments.
