The professional staff of Mt. Zion Elementary School believes that the school’s purpose is to provide each student with the opportunities of developing into useful members of a democratic society. We feel that the school should provide all students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills, and self-esteem which will enable them to lead productive and responsible lives, to be successful at each ensuring level.

The staff recognizes that each child brings unique experiences and capabilities into the school setting; therefore, the teacher’s task is to provide a learning environment that allows each child to learn in the best way. It is necessary that each teacher be well prepared and experienced in the proper selection and use of materials and resources.

To achieve the optimum learning experience for the child, a combined effort on the part of the faculty, parents, and students is necessary.
