CCPS PBIS Versuz Battle 2026

Mount Zion Elementary won 1st place in the Rap Category!! Again!!

The 5th Annual CCPS PBIS "5" District Norms Verzus Battle has an overarching goal to promote PBIS implementation and the District's Five Behavior Norms (Weapons free, Violence free, Bully free, Drug free, Gang free) in support of the Superintendent's number one Priority: Cultivate A School Safety Culture & Promote A Positive Working Environment.

Our scholars look forward to this competition, especially since we won first place in the same category in 2025. This win fuels our energy to produce an amazing rap song that showcases the PBIS Norms in a way that will motivate all CCPS students to support the district's behavior initiatives.

The students participating in our Art Club are very talented and appreciate the opportunities given by the school district to showcase their creativity.  The entire MZE family is very proud of our artists and encourage them to continue pursuing their passion for art.

Ranking in World Languages Competition

The 6th Annual World Languages Competition is a trivia bowl that covers the languages taught in CCPS (Arabic, Chinese, French, Latin, and Spanish), as well as other languages and traditions (American Sign Language or ASL, Germany, and Native American customs, history and traditions).  This competition allows students to receive recognition for learning more about the world around them.

Our scholars are excited to show what they learned about the Spanish language and culture.  This competition gave them the opportunity to display the knowledge and skills they learned in class to a larger audience.

John Hancock Award-Proficiency in Cursive Writing

CCPS is proud to congratulate the 30 schools that have been formally honored for their proficiency in cursive writing by the Georgia Department of Education.  Mount Zion Elementary is one of 30 schools in the district honored for proficiency in cursive writing.

Receiving this accolade has motivated our scholars to continue practicing their cursive writing skills.  We are looking forward to receiving this honor in the upcoming years.
