Saving Our Daughters

Clayton County Public Schools is proud to announce that students from Mt. Zion Elementary played a special role in an inspiring new music project alongside Emmy-winning ventriloquist and singer Mallory Lewis Piphus. Partnering with the nonprofit organization Saving Our Daughters, Piphus debuted her latest track last week on The Tamron Hall Show, delivering a powerful message of empowerment for young girls everywhere.

Tamron Hall Show Mt. Zion Elementary Cinderellas A New Cinderella V5 65mb.mp4

The new song, featured on the upcoming album Cinderella Sweep, redefines what it means to be a “Cinderella” by encouraging girls to dream big, embrace their uniqueness, and break barriers. The album spotlights 53 young girls from Saving Our Daughters, an organization dedicated to supporting adolescent girls of color as they navigate social challenges such as bullying, digital harassment, and low self-esteem while also providing mentorship opportunities in the arts. With over 50,000 girls impacted nationwide, these young "Cinderellas" are at the heart of this inspiring project.

As part of this incredible opportunity, students from Mt. Zion Elementary were featured as background artists during the performance, proudly representing Clayton County Public Schools on a national stage.
